Here is a perfect example of the Word intersecting
with the world.  This is a physical relic with incredible
spiritual heritage and transforming properties.  These
metaphysical planes intersect like the pieces of the
true cross intersect at the center of our soul.

Ever watched the movie The Nineth Gate?

Perhaps the most disturbing scene in the movie
takes place when the character played by Johnny
Dep encounters Satan in a reading room, and she
(yes, she) is reading
How to Make Friends and
Influence People.

Hmmmm.  So that's how it works?
Is there a God?  You betcha!
Think this happened by
accident?
Good ribs are no accident either ... the analogy is
clear: move slowly and methodically toward the prize.

It is my firm belief that God, being the author of ALL things, uses all things
as He sees fit to glorify His kingdom.  Many cannot understand this, and
others would question a God who would allow Satan to be the author of lies
... that would technically make God the author of the author of lies.  Almost
true, except the caveat here is that Lucifer also made a choice.  Choice, i.e.
probability, is the one true unknown, and yet the very paradox that makes
God ... well, God!  Without choice grace would be unnecessary.  We would
be little more than robots with flesh painted on for appearances' sake.

Does anyone out there remember Jonathon
Livingston Seagull ... the book?

It was a spiritual quest.  I'm taking it to the next level.
does reality really bite?
Said I'd never do this but, in keeping with my
witness ... here it is!

This is what the BMV would let me have ...
the mind will do the rest.  As always ... once
you think it, it cannot be "unthunk," so to
speak.

Now a decision must be made.
I'm fairly confident that God is a blues
man.  Otherwise life would be easy ...
and blues would be unnecessary ...
but, ya know what?  Of course ...It
don't come easy!

This page is a response to
God's reminder that we are all
so very complex, and that we
cannot, and should not, dissect
ourselves into predictably
shaped jig saw puzzle pieces
that fit  conveniently into tiny,
safe, compartments.

We are a wonderful blend of
all that God has to offer
through salvation in Christ.

Because Satan abuses his
position & authority, and
because we have welcomed
him, does not mean that the
world should be shunned ...
that it should not be embraced
as good and celebrated in all
its splendor.  For this reason I
open my site to all that I am,
and to all that you are, for
better and for worse, in this
world and for all eternity.

God is good; His creation is
good; there is so much here
for us.  Remember in Genesis
when God said "It is good"? I
believe that it still is.

We were not meant to live in
a vacuum, but to lift Christ up
for all to see in all that we are,
and in all that we live.
Worship is a lifestyle, not a
weekly appointment.

Have fun ...
love life!
For better    &
for
worse ...

Rock & Roll ... good? bad? probably indifferent.

The many facets of our life intersect in God.
There really is not a spiritual and a secular life
per se.  Either you infuse your life with God or
you live without that relationship.  Regardless,
God still exists whether or not you believe in
Him.  He certainly believes in you.

Another cool band that I would consider Christian is Collective Soul.
This is not about the name, which is significant, but because of Ed
Roland's upbringing as the son of a Pastor ... and the obvious impact
that has had on his song writing.  He unabashedly speaks of heaven,
lacing his lyrics with poignant questions and equally strong statements
about faith & life experience.       (see below)

Reunion

Now my curtain has
been drawn
And my heart can go
where my heart does
belong
I'm going home.

December

Why follow me to
higher ground
Lost as you swear I am
Don't throw away your
basic needs
Ambiance and vanity.

Heaven's Already Here

Who's gonna bring me
heaven
when heaven's already
here?

Precious Declaration

I was blind, but
now I see
Salvation
has discovered me.

Crown

Who's gonna be my
savior
Now that I've learned
to believe?

Who's gonna be the
shepherd
To lead this poor boy
back home?

soul
What is it about music that moves us to tears and to
strength and then to revisit it again and again?  I think it
is the rhythm of the human condition, the beating of the
heart or the innermost connection of a distant drum beat.

God loves music or else it would not exist.  David danced
and sang to the Lord to the distress of his wife and his
community, but worship was first.  His heart was God's.

Then I will hold my head high above my enemies
who surround me.  At His sanctuary I will offer
sacrifices with shouts of joy, singing and praising
the Lord with music.

But beware that you

I want to say that

one made it into

Do not lose your way and then hope for God’s mercy.  The pain that Israel has experienced is brutal …
partly destined; partly self-inflicted.  They, like so many Gentiles, have rejected salvation in Christ; their
road to heaven is a gauntlet. Trust in Jesus, as that relationship will guide you more certainly than any
prophecy or policy.  In Him is the fulfillment of the Law.
